Danny Lawton is an exciting open format DJ based in Liverpool. With a background in film composition and as a session musician, Danny’s a music magpie; his eclectic background and experience DJ’ing across London has inspired his passion of mixing all genres, with this year’s most popular sets from Danny firmly grounded in his passion for Disco. ​Danny’s venue-tailored sets, along with his great work ethic has meant he’s quickly earned a reputation with booking agents and venues for being simply the DJ to work with; enabling him to secure a city-centre residency within only a couple of months of moving to a new city. You can also find Danny regularly playing iconic Liverpool venues like Camp & Furnace and Heebie Jeebies, along with cool independent spots in the city’s creative hub, the Baltic Triangle.

A highlight of this summer has been Danny’s marathon 10 hour sets in the city’s new rooftop bar Tiki Bao  Danny Lawton is a master in taking Tiki Bao’s patron’s on a journey, from a chilled afternoon start including Jazz, Soul and Balearic House right up to filling the dancefloor into the night with Euphoric Disco, House and Tech House.

Danny’s deep devotion for uncovering rare Disco gems has led to the creation of Piping Hot Disco, a monthly event at the cultural cornerstone venue, Melodic Distraction. Danny hand selects the North’s most exciting up and coming DJs to play. Piping Hot Disco were recently selected to play  at the Eurovision Village this summer.
